Athletes in Sports of Imbalance

maxresdefault.jpg

We work with a large roster of young athletes that play “sports of imbalance.”

  • Golf

  • Baseball / Softball

  • Soccer (Kicking)

  • Volleyball (Hitting)

  • Basketball (Shooting)

  • Football (Quarterbacks & Kickers)

  • Swimmers (Stroke)

These athletes are unique in that they undergo extreme volumes of repetitive practice in a single motion or direction.

Their needs require a specialized approach that reflects the unique stress they put on their bodies.

Restrictions

The extreme volumes of repetitive practice create muscle imbalances that cause the great majority of the tightness, stiffness and restrictions we see in these athletes.

We work with your body to drill down to the cause of the problem in order to correct imbalances.

Prevention

Because we know that a problem is a problem before it is called an injury, we locate and correct problems before they show up in an uglier way for these athletes.

It is also important for athletes that have a high sporting skill that if imbalance is not held in check, it will actually lead to deterioration of their skill set that becomes harder and harder to recapture.

Is this right for me?

If you answer YES to any of these questions, you may be in the right place …

  • Are you suffering from joint & muscle pain or limited movement as a result of a recent or past injury?

  • Are you experiencing physical limitations or pain that is interfering with your performance?

  • Do you desire to get back on the field better than before and get back to training with improved movement quality?

  • Are you experiencing instability and muscle weakness, or muscle stiffness and tightness that keeps you locked up and immobile?

  • Are you frustrated by conventional treatments for acute or chronic aches & pain that haven't worked?

  • Are you at your end and considering surgery even though all tests say there are no tears, breaks or structural damage?

  • Have you had surgery and are frustrated that you may never get back to an active lifestyle?

However, in order to truly know if we are the right fit for you, and you for us,

we will need to have a conversation to discuss whether an evaluation is right for you.
